Licensing Requirements
Please refer to the Montana Board of PT Examiners website for statute and FAQs regarding CEs. There, you will find a link to the statutes, a link to the APTA and FSBPT lists of requirements. Please also note the FAQ page which answers MANY of your questions.
Montana licensed PTs and PTAs must complete 30 hours of continuing education during each two-year cycle in order to renew his or her license, with a minimum of 15 coming from Category A programs. Courses put on by or approved by APTA Montana are considered Category A, see full list of Category A requirements. This includes online/virtual programming.
Note that Course APPROVAL in Montana is not a requirement. APTA MT is offering review and approval to ensure your course meets Montana regulations.
