New Quick Reference Guide: PTs as Primary Treating Physician in Montana Workers’ Compensation
August 2025Effective October 1, 2025, Montana Senate Bill 109 allows licensed physical therapists to serve as the Primary Treating Physician for injured workers under Workers' Compensation. This new role empowers PTs to coordinate care, provide determinations, manage cases, and ensure compliance with Montana's Utilization and Treatment Guidelines.
