Students may take this course at a rate discounted by 50% of the member and non-member rate, if there is space available prior to the start of the course. This course is a laboratory class with limited space, and therefore we must limit the spaces available at the student rate. If you are a student and would like to attend if we do have extra room for this course, please register for the student waitlist. APTA MT will notify you one week prior to start of the course to offer you a space in the course, if available.

About the course:
Course Description:
This course is for the slow and non-responders in your caseload. Learn the easy and effective Clinical Practice Patterns of Dr. Erson Religioso III, DPT, MS, MTC, CFC, CertMDT, CertMST, CNPT, FAAOMPT. A combination of movement screening and repeated motions exam will direct treatment. Assessment and treatment will include breathing, neurodynamics, IASTM, and functional mobilizations of related areas.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:
- Learn the importance of reducing fear avoidance and incorporating Pain Science Education into most sessions.
- Recognize Upper and Lower Quarter Clinical Practice Patterns for spinal screening
- Identify the psychological, mechanical, and chemical aspects of breathing pattern dysfunction
- Assess breathing pattern dysfunction mechanically and chemically
- Assess Upper and Lower Quarter Neurodynamics
- Utilize IASTM, Repeated Loading, and Functional Mobilizations to reduce threat to the nervous system, improve mobility, pain, and function
- Prescribe a custom Recovery Plan for the patient
- Address other strategies that improve the overall health and well-being of the patient, such as sleep, and nutrition

He is a father of 6 beautiful children and has an amazing wife. He loves camping with his family, rock climbing, working out, and helping patients and PTs.
